Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl

Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl – 4 Servings

A traditional Poke Bowl is a simple and delicious combination of rice, Asian toppings like soy sauce, and cubed raw sushi-grade Ahi or, Yellowfin, Tuna is from the world’s tropical and subtropical oceans.


1 lb. sushi-grade Ahi Tuna

Tuna Poke Marinade

1 tsp – Sesame oil

1 tsp – Freshly grated ginger

1 tsp – Rice vinegar

2 Tbsp – Soy sauce

1/2 red pepper flakes

1/2 kosher salt

2 scallions, sliced thinly

1 tsp – Toasted sesame seeds


2 cup – Sushi rice, cooked per package directions

Topping Suggestions

Sliced cucumber


Grated carrot

Thinly sliced radish

Sliced avocado

Wonton crisps

Toasted sesame seeds


Slicing against the grain with a very sharp knife, cut tuna into 1/2” or 1” chunks.

In a large bowl, whisk together all marinade ingredients, add tuna and toss to coat.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator to marinate for 30 minutes.

Prepare rice according to package directions.

Scoop rice into each serving bowl.

Top with marinated tuna and toppings of your choice, and enjoy.
