Seared Ahi Tuna Steaks
Seared Ahi Tuna Steaks – 2 Servings
Ahi Tuna is from the world’s tropical and subtropical oceans – it’s the beef of the sea and delicious skillet seared!
- 2 Ahi Tuna Steaks; 1” thick
- 1/4 c – White sesame seeds
- 2 Tbsp – Black sesame seeds
- Ground pepper
- 1-1/2 Tbsp – Grapeseed oil
Sprinkle salt and pepper on the Tuna steaks.
Mix the sesame seeds and dredge each piece of Tuna to coat evenly.
Heat the oil, in a large non-stick pan, until just smoking.
Cook Tuna about 1 minute, until white sesame seeds are golden, then gently turn each piece.
Cook about a minute longer, being careful not to overcook the Tuna.
Place seared Tuna on a cutting board and let rest for 3 minutes.
Cut into 1/4” slices and serve.
